My Post Wedding Photography Workflow

So after the wedding what happens?
Well.........After returning home from a wedding shoot, I will upload the images onto my PC, again onto a seperate hard drive and just to make sure burn them onto DVD's. So it has been backed up 3 times.
I browse the through the images in Adobe Lightroom editing the final amount down to approximately 320 - 400 images. Each picture is fine tuned with exposure adjustments if needed and a collection converted to black & white. After that, the images are exported into Photoshop for sharpening. This is a automated process run through by an action. The sharpening is generally left running over night. Once sharpened, the images are exported as high resolution JPG's for printing and low Resolution for e-mailing.
The high resolution images are uploaded onto an online gallery for clients to view. The images will then be made into a slideshow using Photodex pro show gold.
Clients choose what images they would like inserted in their photobook and once confirmed I will build the book and upload to www.blurb.com for printing. Printing generally takes between 5 and 7 working days.
Once the photobook has been sent to us we will send the DVD's, book etc to the client 1st class recorded delivery. This is a watered down version of what really happens during the post production work but if I were to go into all the details you would be reading this blog for hours, so it just gives you an idea of what the process is.
